Ava Protocol

Ava Protocol is decentralized automation infrastructure that lets developers and users automate blockchain transactions across Ethereum and EVM networks without centralized servers or private key custody.

Scope of work: we designed two connected surfaces, the marketing website at avaprotocol.org where the protocol is explained, and the web application where users build, deploy, and monitor their own automations. As the protocol evolved from a developer-focused tool into a broader ecosystem serving DeFi users, AI agents, DAOs, and app builders, both experiences needed a significantly improved design. The challenge was explaining an invisible product, serving multiple personas, simplifying workflow creation, and building trust around non-custodial, autonomous execution.

Project goals

Rather than isolated screens, we approached the project holistically, from discovering the protocol on the website to creating and monitoring automations inside the application.

Our strategy followed four principles: explain before demonstrating, reduce cognitive load, build confidence through transparency, and make powerful automation feel approachable.

On the marketing website, avaprotocol.org: we restructured the site into a clear narrative that explains the protocol before its technical detail.

On the web application: we redesigned onboarding and workflow creation, rebuilt the trigger-condition-action workflow builder with progressive disclosure, and reorganised the dashboard around the information users need most.

Result

Ava Protocol established a more cohesive and accessible digital experience across both avaprotocol.org and its web application.

The redesigned website communicates the value proposition with greater clarity, making it easier for developers, traders, and ecosystem partners to understand how trustless automation simplifies blockchain interactions. The redesigned application streamlines workflow creation and management, reducing friction for new users while preserving flexibility for advanced use cases. A unified design language across both surfaces reinforces Ava Protocol's identity as modern Web3 infrastructure and creates a scalable foundation for future ecosystem expansion and AI-driven workflows.
