Refund policy

Thank you for working with OpenRipples. We value transparency and clarity around payments and refunds. This policy explains how refunds are handled for our design, development, and related services.

1. Kickoff / Retainer Payments

Kickoff payments, retainers, and booking fees are non refundable. These payments secure time, resources, and scheduling allocations that prevent us from accepting other work.

2. Project-Based Payments

For fixed-scope projects (e.g., website redesign, product design, app development):

  • Once work has started, payments are non refundable, including milestone-based payments.

  • If a project is paused or cancelled by the client, no refunds will be issued for work already completed or time allocated.

3. Subscription and Ongoing Services

For monthly or recurring subscription-based services:

  • Payments are billed in advance and are non refundable.

  • Clients may cancel future billing cycles by providing written notice before the next billing date.

  • Work delivered during the active billing cycle remains billable.

4. Change of Scope or Direction

Client-initiated changes in scope, timelines, or strategy do not qualify for refunds. Additional work or revisions may require new estimates and fees.

5. Digital Assets and Deliverables

Due to the nature of creative and technical work, once digital deliverables (e.g., designs, prototypes, code, research, assets) are shared, refunds are not eligible.

6. Performance Expectations

We do not provide refunds based on subjective dissatisfaction, performance outcomes, commercial results, or business decisions made using our work.

7. Exceptional Circumstances

In rare cases where refunds may be considered, they will be evaluated solely at the discretion of OpenRipples and issued only if mutually agreed in writing.

8. Disputes

We encourage clients to communicate concerns proactively. Where disputes occur, both parties agree to attempt resolution through discussion before pursuing formal action.
